Hi, I’m Malka Miriam Mohadeb, the founder of LightWaves Community—a space where Torah wisdom and emotional healing come together, with just enough humor to remind us that life, while challenging, doesn’t always have to be so serious. My journey? Let’s just say life has thrown me enough curveballs to keep things interesting (and to teach me a thing or two about resilience).I come from a rich Jewish Syrian and Lebanese heritage, with a childhood spent weaving through cultures and communities—from New York to a year in Argentina. While my roots are Middle Eastern, I grew up steeped in the traditions of Ashkenaz Chassidic Judaism, blending a fascinating mix of histories, identities, and perspectives. Life, however, didn’t just hand me an interesting cultural cocktail. It handed me challenges—plenty of them. Not just in my childhood but well into adulthood, I’ve walked through the fire of life’s tests. Those experiences, while deeply difficult, became the foundation of my work and my faith. Through it all, I’ve come to understand a profound truth: Hashem is always here with me, guiding me, and everything He does is good—even when it’s hard to see it. This deep knowing has shaped who I am and what I do. My thirst for growth and healing led me to study and train in various trauma-informed modalities.  . Under my good friend and teacher, Orit Esther Riter's guidance, I learned Relationship Healing through the teachings of the Baal Shem Tov, Gemstone Healing, body mapping, and so much more. Her Torah-based approach to emotional healing has profoundly influenced my work and continues to inspire me every day. I am also a certified Nurtured Heart Approach trainer. While this powerful approach is primarily a parenting technique, I’ve discovered its incredible potential for reparenting ourselves. When we use this method on ourselves to cultivate inner strength and positive self-recognition, we’re better equipped to implement it with the children—and adults!—in our lives. This insight has deepened my understanding of how we can nurture and heal relationships from the inside out. At LightWaves Community, I bring it all together. My work is somatic-based, blending inner child healing with Bitachon, Torah wisdom, and tools like the Nurtured Heart Approach to help people reconnect with their essence. It’s about finding the light within, embracing life’s complexities, and healing in a way that feels authentic, compassionate, and sometimes even a little playful. I believe brokenness can lead to the most beautiful wholeness. Life may be messy, but with faith, connection, and a healthy dose of humor, we can navigate the journey together. That’s what LightWaves is all about—a place where you can grow, heal, and remember that, even in the hard times, there’s light to be found.
